The song I am using for this project is "I Just Wasn't Made For These times" by the Beach Boys. My idea behind it was to create a fantastical world inside someones head to try and show a character reflecting about their life and show them in a process of thinking.

I had this idea to bring the camera through layers and layers of ink as a way to introduce the world inside

 

This sketch was just when I got the idea to represent the character thinking by using rotating cogs and gears. This meant I could also put the backing vocals on different cogs to visually show the seperated vocals

This was me building on the idea of the cogs and visually having them churning out the lyrics to the song as it plays

 

I had this rough idea for an instrumental bit that is near the end of the song, I thought of using waves which would mirror how the theramin in the song plays and as it stops a drop will come off the end and the camera continues follow this as it falls.

I was still deciding what texture to use in my video when i made this style frame.
